Moonstone Hammock Karjat sits in Shelu, surrounded by hills and dense greenery, with the river close by. The cabins and tents are designed to keep you comfortable while leaving the view open. It works for slow mornings, quiet walks, a long weekend with friends, or a break with the family.
What to expect
- Where you'll stay: Forest Cabins and Rangers Den sleep up to 4, and Hunters Nest tents sleep up to 3. All are air-conditioned with a queen bed, an attached washroom, and towels.
- Your day: Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Outdoor games, board games, and sports are available from 4:00 PM, along with kayaking until 6:00 PM (weather permitting) and the swimming pool.
- Food: High tea at 4:45 PM, dinner buffet at 9:00 PM, and breakfast buffet at 8:30 AM the next day.
- Evenings: A live band on Saturdays and movie nights on weekdays. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
- Occasions: Date night setups, birthday surprises, proposals and anniversaries, picnics by the river, and private game nights can be arranged on request.
- Getting there: About 90 minutes from Mumbai and 2 hours from Pune by road, with on-site parking. By train, Shelu Station on the Central Line is a 10-minute auto ride away.
- Good to know: Children 0–4 stay free, and children 5–12 are charged at 50%.
